Kathmandu : President Ram Chandra Poudel has authenticated an ordinance to amend certain provisions of Nepal’s Cooperative Act.
According to Shailaja Regmi Bhattarai, spokesperson for the President’s office, the ordinance was issued based on Article 114 (1) of Nepal’s Constitution, following a recommendation from the Cabinet.
The Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday approved the ordinance to amend the Cooperative Act and presented it to the President for authentication.
With the President’s authentication, the ordinance is now set to be implemented.
