Maoist Student Wing Denounces India-China Lipulekh Deal as Violation of Nepal’s Sovereignty

कान्तिपथ

Kathmandu – The All Nepal National Independent Students’ Union (Revolutionary), the student wing of the Prachanda-led CPN (Maoist Centre), has vehemently opposed the recent India-China trade agreement involving Nepal’s Lipulekh region.

In a strongly worded statement, the union denounced the pact as an “outrageous violation of Nepal’s sovereignty and a betrayal of international law,” arguing that no agreement over Nepali territory can be legitimate without Nepal’s consent.

“Lipulekh is Nepal’s territory historically, geographically, and politically. No secret treaty or trade pact can erase this fact,” the statement declared, warning that expansionist practices by India and China would be resisted by the Nepali people.

The press statement was issued by Sandip Pun, Vice Chairman of ANNISU (Revolutionary) and Head of its International Department, who urged the Government of Nepal to register diplomatic and legal protests at the United Nations and international forums.

Pun also appealed to the global community, progressive youth, and democratic forces to condemn what he described as a violation of Nepal’s sovereign rights and to stand in solidarity with the Nepali people.

The statement concluded with calls to resist expansionism: “Down with Expansionism! Respect International Law! Long Live Nepal’s Sovereignty!”
