The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) has been rescheduled for February 16. General Secretary at the federal parliament Dr Bharat Raj Gautam issued a notice to this regard and informed that the next HoR meeting would be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday. Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has been mentioned in the notice as saying that the meeting earlier slated for February 14 could not be held on that date for special reason, so it was postponed for two more days as per Rule 6 (3) of the HoR Regulation, 2075.
The CPN UML had urged for the postponement of the HoR meeting. Similarly, on Saturday, CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal had also suggested PM Deuba for the HoR postponement.
